This is my Dark Olive version of my Beadhead Hare’s Ear nymphs. Very few people seem to match the hatch when they are fishing nymphs and I think they are missing a trick by ignoring it. I tend to use the dark olive version early and late season and the light olive version mid season to imitate the active species of nymphs relevant to the time of the season.

Light Olive Hare’s Ear
Beadhead Hare’s Ear nymphs are hard to beat. They are very suggestive of a whole range of different nymphs and other aquatic insects.
Gold Ribbed Hare’s Ear
Unweighted Gold Ribbed Hare’s Ear. An excellent choice for the top dropper whenever there’s any olives emerging.
